All right guys and girls, tomorrow's the day. The day some of us dread, some of us waited for and probably the most important day of our lives.

Graduation.

20, 21 or 22 years for us. A definite significant milestone of our lives. I'm no good with words, how about i quote some really good stuff instead?

Steve Jobs told us “Remembering you’re going to die, is the best way I know, to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.”

Arnold told us “You’re going to find naysayers in every turn that you make. Don’t listen. Just visualize your goal, know exactly where you want to go. Trust yourself. Get out there and work like hell. Break some of the rules and never ever be afraid of failure.”

For 3 years we've been buying and selling everything within our brains' capacity to pass the vassignments and projects. ctrl + c , ctrl + v were our favourite keys on the keyboard. We used cheatcodes such as adjhdfsd when it came to exams. The intellectual hustle.

Really, when I look back at it I wouldn’t change a thing.

I wouldn't trade anything in the world for the experience that was gained throughout our 3 years together. It was a roller-coaster ride wasn't it? There were ups, downs and definitely the occasional loops and spirals. The P802 experience.

"When we were five, they asked us what we wanted to be when we grew up. Our answers were things like astronaut, president, or in my case… princess.

When we were ten, they asked again and we answered - rock star, cowboy, or in my case, gold medalist. But now that we've grown up, they want a serious answer. Well, how 'bout this: who the hell knows?!

This isn't the time to make hard and fast decisions, its time to make mistakes. Take the wrong train and get stuck somewhere chill. Fall in love - a lot. Major in philosophy 'cause there's no way to make a career out of that. Change your mind. Then change it again, because nothing is permanent.

So make as many mistakes as you can. That way, someday, when they ask again what we want to be… we won't have to guess. We'll know."

Is this it for us?

I looked back through some of this blog's over the years and felt nostalgic. A longing for the past to return, but we all know that will never happen. I once told someone that I never really miss my close friends, because I know for certain that I'll be seeing them again. I know for certain that sometime in the foreseeable future, we'll get a chance to meet, hang out, and talk as if there wasn't a tomorrow. Even if they've flown off overseas. We WILL meet again. I won't badly miss my friends, true, but I sorely miss the times that we had together. 10, 15 years down the road, I will look back on all this and say "Oh man, those were the days." Cliché.

Well enough ranting from me. How about one last bang from all of us? How does each and everyone of us write a post for this blog, as one final goodbye present? It doesn't have to super chim English; you can quote lyrics, vlog a simple sentence or anything will do!

Lastly, I would like to offer my sincerest apology if i had hurt your feelings with my crazy Bruce Banner moments. I never meant anything mean i said. But if it was compliments, i mean it to the deepest depths of my heart. <3

its the last day of school tomorrow.

three years have come, flown and gone by, we got by, project after project, assignment after assignment, from one exam to the next, one lepak session after another. dumb moment after another.

and finally, we're at the end of our 3 years in poly.

(oh god, i dont know what to say)

we started off unfamiliar, and we explored TP, eating at various canteens, and then came along block 23, the block where we spent half of our lives eating at the canteen, rushing off due assignments, play dota, sleeping on benches, htht and so much more. we had our sentosa and chalet outings and our regular birthday celebrations at concourse.

i'll always remember the moments.

then came the season of motors. we turned 18 1 by 1, our conversation topics changed to all about licenses, cars, bikes. we got our licenses 1 by 1, and we went on insane road trips, exploring places we rarely visited. and then came along internships. we were legal to enter clubs, start drinking, and very soon, vehicles and clubbing were new topics in our conversations.

we split apart for 6 months, leading different lives which were out of our comfort zone, meeting up occasionally to maintain a grasp on our sanity and to know that through whatever we were going through individually, there was a class who would understand. we slogged our asses off for SIP and MP, and finally, the torment was over.

sem 3.1 came and gone, and finally,

sem 3.2.

the sem which we all dreaded, the undeniable reality that in 5 months, 802 would still always be 802, but our purpose as a class, to stick by to go through the shit that school throws at us, would be gone. the most legendary semester of our lives, a whole class steamboat at concourse, bridge sessions, our usual sleeping on benches and rushing off projects, watching HIMYM at the concourse.

and tomorrow, will be the last proper poly day of our lives.

802, i love you guys, and i'll miss you guys in the days to come.
thank you for the moments, the memories, the support, the best.

and as our lives change,
from whatever,
we will still be,
friends forever.

For Male NS Liable Students
There will be a Fitness Star Programs ( 6 sessions of Physical training for each students) schedule for you to attend begin from 10th Nov 2010 or 12th Nov 2010

Group 1 Time Slot : is every Wednesday 2.30pm - 4pm (Training end by 12 Jan 2011)
Group 2 Time Slot : is every Wednesday 4 - 5.30pm (Training end by 12 Jan 2011)

Dear Students, we are currently conducting a research study on emotion elicitation and we are trying to identify films that can evoke certain emotions such as happiness, sadness, fear, surprise, anger and disgust. We are recruiting participants to view clips obtained from different films and documentaries that have been picked out because of the emotions they are supposed to elicit. You will then specify how each film makes you feel and the intensity of the emotion felt.

The films have a maximum rating of M18, as defined by the Media Authority of Singapore and so are only suitable of people 18 years and above. Therefore you must be of at least 18 years of age to participate in this study. You are required to provide an informed consent if you volunteer for this study. If you are below 21 years of age you will need to seek parental consent.

Although you are not required to undergo medical clearance, you are required to declare your health status prior to commencing any trials as a safety precaution. Please note that for this study, you should not be suffering from nor have a history of any heart diseases, high blood pressure, psychological or psychiatric problems. The films will span a wide range of genres, for example comedy, drama, romance, horror and gore. They may contain scenes and language that some may find offensive and/or disturbing.

The Actual Study will be held from:
Monday(1 March 2010)- Saturday(6 March 2010)
and
Monday(8 March 2010)- Saturday(13 March 2010)

Venue: Applied Science School level 7
Time Slot: 10am-12pm , 1pm-3pm, 4-6pm

You are to choose three days to attend the experiment. Each session is two hours per day.Each timeslot allows a maximum of 5 participants and allocation is based on first come first serve basis.

Upon completion of the study, you will recieve 50 dollars for your efforts*.

OK, big day coming...i've confirmed that only 4 people are not going for chalet, so we expect 24 peoples ok? if we do the math, 24 divided by 214..we'll get 100.11??!?! THE HECK! OH NOH WAIT....

it's 214 divided by 24, haha = $8.90, exclusive of food.. DAnny's in charge of food, Mr Lee has agreed to sponsor 50% of the food package, so we estimate a total of 13-15 per pax? sounds reasonable?

Hi guys,

Need your help. I need to reach out to the whole cohort and to ask who would still like to go for Flight Experience @the Singapore Flyer.

Farid and I will take the sessions. At the moment we are getting request from the AEL and AEG side... that's because they do not have anything formalised into their curriculum, but are keen to do the flight experience as well. As for AMS I understand that only about 50% of the Year 3s have gone through. So we thought it be a good idea to open up again during this break.... to all.

Farid and I are currently negotiating the rates for the students (and even for lecturers from AEL/AEG). It should be affordable enough ie. at a price lower than if students were to go by themselves to Flight Experience. Should be able to confirm by this weekend.

I am hoping to run the sessions next week, hopefully starting from 7/10 to 16/10 weekdays. As you know for good rates, chances are we have to conduct perhaps during the less preferred hours ie. either earlier in the morning or later in the evenings. By some luck and skilled negotiations, we may get some decent hours.

So please help - be it using your smses or even the blogs to get the word around. Thanks!

About our class chalet, the final cost per person has not been calculated yet, but but but, i've called mr lee about the 100 bucks subsidy by T.P. . We're granted 100 bucks PER YEAR, so our 100 bucks have been used up in the last class chalet.

However, if you guys really really really want a subsidy, we can request for mr lee to dig into next year's fund for us.

i've requested an itinerary from mr cyrano regarding the trip.

Right now, THE PRICE HAS BEEN REDUCED TO $50 FOR THE FLIGHT! that's right, $50 bucks...the main purpose of this trip is to visit and looksee the LCC and KLIA infrastructure.

However, a trip to the city is planned for, but this equals to extra costs (train ride to city, shopping, halal food, etc etc)

Til then, what the lecturers want is the confirmed names. I reckon there'll be a briefing some time after Raya, for the full description of the trip, sooo.. just tag that your interested for the KL trip before Friday.

Just some Info about the KL Trip coming up the end of this month.

Wednesday 30th September. A day trip up to Kuala Lumpur, capital city of Malaysia. Tiger flight.

Approximate cost is $70 ++ .....What we'll be doing is visiting and exploring the LCC there. MAybe we'll shortly visit KLIA too.. If there's enough time, we'll take the train to the city, and visit places like Hard Rock Cafe, Petaling Street and visit the Twin Towers!

this is the rate for the bungalow there;

Currently, there are 7 slots of bungalow on the available date + 1 which is near the poolside.
Since its an off-peak period, Charges are as follow

Bungalows away from the poolside

Safra Members - $130 per night
Citizens - $187 per night

Available slots: 23N, 24N, 25N, 26N, 28N, 29N, 34,

Bungalow(s) near the swimming pool

Safra Member - $150 per night
Citizens - $207 per night

Available slot: 35P

Basically, bungalow near the pool is priced $20 more per day.
(3 days = $60)

Hence, should we book under Wee Li name, it would be;
$390 (bungalow away from poolside) About $14 per person for just rental itself if divided by 28.
$450 (bungalow near the pool) About $16 per person.

We cant assure that the rental fee is $14. It may be $14 ++
Considering the person who are not staying over.

Since Wee Li had booked the whole chalet last year, (without us paying for any rental), I wouldnt want to burden him any more. (He has a family to take care of =P)
